Fresh Tomato Accordions


  • 6 Firm, ripe tomatoes
  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Ott's Creamy Italian Dressing to taste
  • Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
  • Freshly grated pepper


Cut a thin slice from the stem end of each tomato. Stand tomato upright on the cut ends and cut 5 deep slits in each tomato with a sharp knife. Brush each slit with Ott's Creamy Italian Dressing and sprinkle a bit of parmesan cheese and fresh ground pepper in each slit. Fill the slits with egg slices. Line a platter with lettuce leaves and place tomato accordions on the lettuce. Shrimp or tuna salad can be mounded in center of platter, arrange on the lettuce leaves, if you'd like. Serves 6
